Numerous activities will be taking place in every municipality of the country, including the capital, Prishtina.
Eighth anniversary of Kosovo independence will be celebrated with various activities ranging by the parade of the Kosovo Security Force and police of Kosovo in “Zahir Pajaziti” square to the blood donation.
The parade will be followed by other acrobatic activities of the cadets as well as the musical band of the KSF.
At 10:00 hours, at the National Library of Kosovo ‘Pjeter Bogdani’, there will open a book exhibition ‘Kosovo on the Path to Independence.’
At 11:00 there will be homage paid to former president Ibrahim Rugova’s tomb in Prishtina, followed by homage to Jashari Family cemetery in the village of Prekaz at 12:00 hours.
At 12:00 a cultural activity will be taking place in Prishtina. SHOTA Ensemble will be performing at “Zahir Pajaziti”, “Mother Teresa” and “Ibrahim Rugova”.
Meanwhile at 20:00 hours, Kosovo National Ballet will perform the play “Wedding” at the National Theatre of Kosovo. The play was directed by choreographer Mehmet Ballkan.
